This home was a modern new build located in Portland’s trendy East End. The couple tore down the small cape that previously stood on the plot of land and they decided to start with a clean slate.

The new and improved height of the home gave the 2nd and 3rd floor water views of Casco Bay and Portland’s working waterfront. Taking inspiration from the clean-lined architecture, we opted for traditional mid-century modern furniture throughout the home.

In the kitchen, we selected a soft grey for the cabinetry, clear globe pendants and natural wood accents. With the use of vintage and antique pieces, we were able to add depth and history to this brand new space.
